The Trap – What Happened to Our Dream of Freedom

Each episode is jam packed with interesting historical tidbits strung together with quick video edits, accompanied by an engaging documentary narrative. Certainly worthy of just the few hours viewing time.
The history of Freedom can best be understood by examining the era that is currently defining it. The concept of Individual Freedom is actually a fairly modern conception, and all too often is simply used as a gimmick to sell useless products, puppet politicians, or the Illuminati global zeitgeist. Our “leaders” often promise freedom in vague, sometimes nationalistic terms, then globally imposing our uniquely American brand of freedom through the export of weapons and wars.
Once you look back on history, gaining perspective on what freedoms are actually possible, we realize that today’s freedoms are a strange, tightly limited kind of free. Governments, in cooperation with multinational corporations, have created simplistic models of human beings, conveniently defining us as self-seeking, almost robotic automatons, entranced and utterly distracted by the glimmering notion of modern freedom.
Since the early 1970’s, this basic model has been further developed by genetic biologists, anthropologists, radical psychiatrists and free market economists, to ultimately become the dominate form of political thinking, as well as the way most people think about themselves as human beings.
Yet within this simplistic idea of freedom were hidden the secret seeds of control. Since the majority of people have completely forgotten the far broader, unrestricted freedoms of our not so distant past, now that freedom has been redefined in the present, what freedom is intimately possible for our future?
Presented here is only Part 1, titled ‘F**k You Buddy’ which is followed by Part 2, ‘The Lonely Robot’ and concludes with Part 3, ‘We Will Force You To Be Free’
